The Temple Mount is the only location the Jews were given by God to build the Temple (The House of GOD). The first Temple was built by Solomon and destroyed by Babylon in 587 BC. The Second Temple was build in the time of Zerubabel in 515 BC and destroyed by the Romans in AD 70. The Muslims then built the Dome of the Rock on the site, to show Islam is the “True Religion”.
According to Daniel, a Third Temple is coming, and it can only be built where the Dome of the Rock now stands.
