The Wailing Wall and the Third Temple

What is the Wailing Wall? Why is it called the Wailing Wall or Western Wall and why is it so important to Jews? In this video, we see footage of the Hakafot (Dance) celebration at the Western Wall for Simchat Torah (Joy of Torah). We will also examine the history and understanding of the Western Wall. @Truthdebate

The Wailing wall is the remains of the Second Temple Period when the Romans destroyed the Second Temple in AD 70. Titus was the general of Roman forces that destroyed the city of Jerusalem and the Temple, according to Josephus over 1 million Jews were killed by the Romans, the final battle was Masada. The Jews had lost control of the site for almost 2000 years. In 1967 Jews regained control of the Western Wall the Temple Mount. They allowed Muslims to maintain control of the Temple Mount, but Jews took control of the Western Wall, it became known as the Wailing Wall as Jews would go there to pray and wail (Lamentations by Jeremiah) the destruction of the First and Second Temple.

David purchased the Temple Mount site as instructed by God to build a Temple for the Lord, but his son Solomon would build the First Temple in 960 BC. This Temple would be destroyed by Babylon in 586 BC. When the Jews returned from Babylonian captivity, they rebuilt the Temple, which became known as the Second Temple. This was destroyed by the Romans in AD 70. When the Muslims conquered Byzantium, they built the Dome of the Rock on the site, since Mohammad claimed to ascend to Heaven from Mount Moriah. This site will be the focus of World attention as the Jews plan to build the Third Temple in the Last Days. Watch this site like a clock on the wall to understand Bible prophecy.
